Savings and Loan Bank Esslingen

In the zone between the train station and the old town, the Savings and Loan Bank Esslingen is reorganizing their headquarter. The part of the building which borders on Bahnhofstraße will be replaced, the extension dating from the 1990' s will be undergo structural alterations and the building on the corner, the former tavern ”Falken” which used to be important in the history of the town, will be integrated into the ensemble. The customer hall on the first floor can also be used for public events, as well as the ”Kronensaal” on the fifth floor. 400 staff altogether will be working here. The headquarter’s façade reacts to the scale of the neighboring buildings by veering several times from the plane of its vertically structured stone elevation.
