District Building Tübingen

The new District Office is situated within the Mühlbachhäcker local authorities centre. The building extends in a north-south direction, evoking the flow of urban development from the city centre towards the south and the reference to the crown of the city with palace and collegiate church. The gently skewed and displaced from each other building wings are connected by a glazed three-storey entry hall. It serves as a circulation zone and provides a generous foyer for the circular assembly hall.  A three-storey link parallel to the hall forms an internal courtyard.
